Counselling & psychotherapy

Hello, my name is Leanne Theron. I am an experienced therapist, passionate about using my years of working with clients to support you as an individual client or as a couple with whatever you may be struggling with. I hope you will find the value in spending time on your mental wellbeing, to be able to thrive with strength and resilience on your own or within a fulfilling relationship.

I offer you a warm, non-judgmental space to talk about your past, present, and future.

“There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”  Nelson Mandela

Have you been considering talking to someone for a while,  or thought about it for the first time very recently? Whichever one it is, it may be time to get in touch.

Are you familiar in answering the question..."How are you?" with "I'm fine!" or "I'm good!" ....but truthfully you are not.  What is causing this disconnect?  How is life currently challenging you? How are you really?

Meaningful questions, and ones we don’t ask ourselves enough or maybe even ever!

I would hope that time spent with me in a warm, relaxed and confidential therapy space will give you the time, the time to ask yourself the meaningful questions.

I have more than 10 years experience as a degree qualified therapist working  within the framework set out by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I work with both individual clients and couples, using my experience to support each person in their personal or relationship challenges.  My training allows me to adapt my approach so that my clients feel the most heard with reflective observations, including tools and techniques where needed in order to gain the most value and best outcome during their time with me.

I am flexible in being able to offer daytime and evening appointments, from 3 convenient and comfortable practices in East Molesey, Weybridge and Twickenham.

How I can help you

The most common reasons for psychotherapy are to address mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Other reasons include addressing relationship issues, substance abuse, and coping with major life transitions. Psychotherapy can help you learn how to manage your emotions, thoughts, and behaviour in healthy ways. It can also be invaluable in providing support and guidance during difficult times of your life.

Therapy for depression

Defeat Depression

Counselling can be an effective treatment for depression, providing support, guidance and practical tools to manage symptoms and improve wellbeing.

Depression can be a difficult condition to manage on your own, and counselling can provide an invaluable support system.

If you are struggling with depression, I will provide a safe and supportive space to explore your feelings and start making positive changes.

Anxiety counselling

Banish Anxiety

Anxiety can be a debilitating condition that prevents us from living our lives to the fullest.

Counselling can help you to understand your anxiety and give you the power to take control.

I will help you to develop healthy, effective coping mechanisms and to understand and manage your triggers. Counselling can be a very effective way to help you conquer your anxiety and live a healthier, happier life.

OCD Therapy

Overcome OCD

Obsessive compulsive disorder is a mental health condition that affects people of all ages. Symptoms of OCD can include repetitive thoughts or behaviours, such as hand-washing, counting or checking things.

Counselling can be an effective treatment for OCD. It can help you to understand your condition and develop strategies for dealing with your symptoms. I will also help you to manage your anxiety and stress levels, which can trigger OCD behaviour.
