Counselling & Psychotherapy
Talking to someone you initially don't know, especially about your thoughts and feelings can be a daunting prospect. I feel it is therefore necessary to let you know that I will do everything possible to make sure you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Talk therapy can be very beneficial in helping you to put things into perspective and take back control of your life. I am a skilful listener who can offer you a non-judgemental space to talk and reflect, whether that be about your past experiences, present challenges or future worries.
“There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” Nelson Mandela
Hello, I am a degree qualified, counsellor, psychotherapist.
I feel very privileged to be working as a psychotherapist, supporting people through various life challenges, guiding my clients towards a more balanced mindset. During our time together, I will make tailor my therapy for you to have the best possible outcome. I use cognitive behavioural techniques to challenge negative thought patterns and behaviours. I also practice mindfulness which is a wonderful tool in allowing clients to become more present, giving them some time out from their anxious minds. I pride myself in being open, honest, supportive, understanding and empathic in my approach.
I am a registered BACP member working within the guidelines outlined by the Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions.
I have worked with a wide range of clients and have extensive experience in providing therapy for anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, self-harm, grief, low self-esteem, family issues, domestic and sexual abuse. I work with male and female adults of all ages including teenagers from 17 years old.
I am a partner at The Practice, an established counselling & psychotherapy establishment with a team of qualified and experienced practitioners. The Practice is in East Molesey. I also practice privately in Twickenham.
Initial Consultation from £30
The initial counselling session will allow me to understand what brings you to therapy. During the 50 minute consultation, you should be able to get a feel for how I work and if you feel comfortable talking to me. The session will allow me to learn more about you so I can understand how I can help you in future sessions.
Subsequent sessions form £60
You may already have a goal you wish to achieve. If not, then with increased self-awareness and reflection, we can find a goal together. Often, merely a space to reflect is good enough and I can offer a non-judgemental space, your space. We can work together at your pace. You have the autonomy to bring whatever you would like to talk about to each session.
