Why should I have counselling?

There are many reasons why someone might seek counselling. Psychotherapy can provide support and guidance through difficult life transitions or experiences.  Counselling can help manage stress and anxiety, improve communication and relationships, and provide tools and coping strategies for dealing with difficult life challenges. Counselling can also help people to develop self-awareness, gain insight into their behaviours and thought patterns, and learn new ways of managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. In short, counselling can be an extremely helpful tool for managing many different types of challenges in life.

Therapy is a very effective for helping you understand and overcome issues that are affecting your mental health. Counselling is a safe place where you can talk about whatever you need to talk about. In counselling, you're not told what to do and you're not 'blamed' for your problems, but you can work with me to help you find ways to deal with your problems.

Counselling can help you develop self-confidence, better communication skills, help you to understand yourself and what's causing your distress. Counselling can be a powerful way to help you look at and change the things that have become a problem, help you understand yourself and your relationships better, help you to develop new coping strategies and improve your quality of life.
